Be Intentional in 2024

Instead of making resolutions that might already have been forgotten, how about BEING INTENTIONAL to enjoy life just a little bit more, to expand your world just a little bit more, and to share great memories? Being intentional about your life can lead to a fulfilling and enriching year. Here are some steps you might consider:

  1. Set Clear Goals: Define what new experiences you want to have this year. It could be learning a new skill, traveling to a new place, trying a new hobby, or anything else that excites you.
  2. Create a Plan: Break down your goals into smaller, actionable steps. This could involve researching classes or workshops, saving money for a trip, or finding local groups or clubs related to your interests.
  3. Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: Embrace opportunities that might be outside of your usual routine. Challenge yourself to try things you’ve never done before. This is where growth and new experiences often reside.
  4. Reflect and Adjust: Periodically reflect on your progress. Celebrate your achievements and assess what’s working and what isn’t. Adjust your approach as needed to stay aligned with your goals.

Remember, the journey to new experiences might take time, but staying intentional and open-minded will greatly increase your chances of success. Embrace the journey, stay positive, and enjoy the process!

Here are a couple of ideas to spark your creativity so you can BE INTENTIONAL in 2024

  • Try a new recipe every month or go to a specialty restaurant with food you would not normally eat.
  • Maintain and/or make new friendships- Meet somebody for coffee once a month. Invite friends over for lunch or dinner.
  • Hobbies -Pick up an instrument you used to play or learn a new one. Color, sketch, paint, or do any artwork you like. Try new games, crafts, puzzles, or hobbies. Join a book club.
  • Health – Do something as easy as going outside in the fresh air for 10 minutes every day.
  • Personal development- Learn something new. Visit a small local or specialty museum or gallery. Listen to podcasts that are uplifting and or motivating.
  • Family – Have family dinner together at the table. Give a compliment every day, especially to your partner or children. Have no electricity nights -light candles and tell stories.
