Happiness held is the seed; Happiness shared is the flower.

Happy May!

We are always excited for May to arrive. When our children were younger, the beginning of May signaled we had just a short time until the end of another school year and SUMMER was just around the corner. Now, May is synonymous with “the boat is coming out of storage” and summer has begun!

As we continue our May 2024 themes to: “BE Intentional”, we are focusing on health. We believe your HEALTH encompasses more than just your physical well-being, it includes your emotional, spiritual, and financial health as well.

It is a proven fact that owning a home can improve your financial health. The US average homeowner equity is $299K. Statistics show that homeowners have 40X the net worth of renters. A hallmark of the American Dream is to own your own home. But half of Americans, especially millennials, don’t believe that goal is in reach. That sentiment might be true in your family as well. But what if there was a way you could change that story? Tapping into home equity to help a family member buy their first home sets them up for a brighter future and gives them a head start on the path to their own generational wealth and financial health. Helping loved ones now means you get to enjoy the gift in action rather than hope an inheritance is used the right way.

Just a few short years ago we did not have healthy finances. We started to make an intentional effort to get on track and can happily report we are on an upward track. Go to our social media (Facebook, Linkedin, and Instagram) for more ideas on being intentional about your health.

Oh, by the way… if you know of someone thinking of buying or selling a home who would appreciate the level of service we provide, please call us with their name and contact information.

The Market Update is based on findings from the local Multiple Listing Service spanning the past 30 days.

BE INTENTIONAL about Healthy Eating

Since the beginning of the year we have been intentional about eating better. Wade’s family has history of high blood pressure, type II diabetes and other heart related diseases. We are not “dieting”, we are trying to change the way we eat. Not always and not perfectly but we on the path to better lab results!

Here’s a recipe we have enjoyed for years. It was found searching for a copycat recipe of a well known restaurant’s’ Oriental Chicken Salad. It can be made relatively low carb by altering it slightly.
