- The first step is to understand what the value of your home is in the current marketplace. Typically, I will set up an initial appointment so I can see your home in person.
- Make a list of all the updates you have done to your home such as: mechanicals, windows, flooring, etc. Please provide that at our initial appointment.
- I will provide you with a market analysis of your home to determine the best starting list price for your home. The market analysis is based on the current real estate market in your area, homes that have sold in the past 3-6 months, and current competition.
- I will recommend what, if anything, you need to do prior to putting your home on the market. (Painting, repairs, remodeling). Check out my C.O.R.E Checklist to get your house ready.
- DE clutter, DE clutter, DE clutter
- Start to pack up things you won’t be using over the next few months. Check out my Packing Plan for suggestions on keeping your packed items organized.
- Take down family photos; depersonalize the home as much as you can.
- Clean, Clean, Clean. Clean and bright helps your home show it’s best.
- Curb Appeal-make sure you look good on the outside; especially the entrance buyers will be coming in to view the home. It is important to work with a full time agent, who you feel you trust and who has proven ability to sell homes.
